About this prototype
What this is
This is a prototype and a suggestion. It was made by people who use CIAAW data and would like it to be easier to reuse in software. Pages are styled after ciaaw.org to show how the idea could fit into the existing website.
What this is not
- It is not an official CIAAW or IUPAC site, and neither body has endorsed it.
- It is not a source of reference values. The numbers come from a converter that is still being tested.
- The model is not final. The IRIs are placeholders until a persistent home is agreed.
Working with CIAAW
The aim is to work with the Commission, not around it. Decisions about the content, the identifiers and any eventual publication belong to CIAAW. If you are involved with the Commission, we would be glad to hear from you, whether you want to change the approach or just ask about it.

How you can help
Please open an issue. All of these are useful:
- A value, footnote or term that looks wrong
- Something in the model that does not match how CIAAW thinks about its data
- A use case that this design would not support
- Experience with related work, such as other chemical or metrological linked data
The source code, the DCTAP model and the instructions for rebuilding everything are on GitHub.
